Questions answered

Why can't I open AVIF files?

AVIF is newer, and some apps and operating systems have not added support. Converting to JPG avoids the issue.

Does my browser support AVIF?

Most current versions of Chrome, Edge, and Firefox decode AVIF. Conversion uses your browser's built-in image support.

Are files uploaded?

No. HEIC Photo processes files locally in your browser. Your photos are not uploaded to a server, saved in cloud storage, or sent to analytics. Optional analytics only receive non-identifying usage signals after consent.
