Questions answered

Is HEIF the same as HEIC?

HEIC is Apple's name for HEIF images using HEVC compression. This tool handles both.

Why convert HEIF to JPG?

Many Windows apps, forms, and older tools accept JPG but not HEIF.

Are files uploaded?

No. HEIC Photo processes files locally in your browser. Your photos are not uploaded to a server, saved in cloud storage, or sent to analytics. Optional analytics only receive non-identifying usage signals after consent.
